I honestly hate the word "penis" so lets just call it a pee-pee! haha! Yes you read right, our little Baby J is a boy! We are so excited about our sweet little man Case James! (Still no middle name yet)
I totally meant to update this but we've been so busy! My sweet grandmother passed away the day after we found out, and then last week we were out of town for Colt's race in Indianapolis.
First let me say we had a great ultrasound experience. If any of you are considering doing an early 3D/4D gender determination ultrasound or even just an elective ultrasound please visit this great place in Cornelius called Lake Norman 3D Imaging. Roxanne is awesome there, and totally knows how to give a great experience. I left and couldnt have been more in love with the whole morning. It was totally worth the money and time to drive there. She did such a great and thourough job. We were able to see so many cool organs like the liver, bladder, brain centricals, all four chambers of the heart pumping away! It was truly amazing!! She really got some great shots of Case. Which by the way he's a mover! He hardly ever sat still. He loves to play with his fingers the most I think and gave Colt some really great shots of the him holding up the number one on his finger. Needless to say Colt won his race. So were hoping that at our OBGYN visit in two weeks when we do their ultrasound we might get it again :) I think daddy found a new good luck charm! hehe!
Will update stats another day! :)
From behind the teachers desk and a drivers seat, expecting our first pit crew addition!

What..really..almost 15 weeks..HOLY BASEBALLS!
Summer seemed like it creeped by til that first doctors appointment, but now since school has started back and the anxiety of the first trimester has wore off it seems this pregnancy is speeding by way faster that I ever imagined. It's hard to believe in 2 days I'll be 15 weeks and the size of a BASEBALL!! whooooooooaaa.. That's getting big! Speaking of baseballs....we find out Saturday if we'll need baseballs or softballs during the spring sports season! Don't forget to vote in our poll, team pink or team blue. I still have no intuition and neither does Colt. But we'll be happy with either Boy or Girl, just let them be healthy :)

Hows Mom? :
Oh yeah I love me some second trimester! Energy is back, oh I just can't get enough of these flutters too. Still on the same side but now just maybe moved up about an inch from last week.
Food Situations: Still no thick red meats, and grilled chicken. Other than that everything is going good with food these days. No craving really but I do enjoy drinking Chocholate milk every morning and following it up with a carton of Orange Juice..hahaha.
Things to buy: Ready to start buying some cute stuff as soon as we know the gender. We did start looking at some baby furniture online. No decisions made yet though..
Belly Button: Still in! :)
Weight Gain: Still only 5lbs gain..stragely my pants are too big in the legs these days, and tight around the waist. I can still button most pants, they just need to be worn really low under my belly since my belly sits up high..yay for that! I do however love some maternity jeans..soo cozy!

Favorite Memory of the Week: Bent over to pick up something out of the fridge at school and I guess Baby J didn't really like that or I sent he/she into a tizzy. I could have swore they were having a party in there, or having a fit bc they were getting squished..hahaha
What I'm looking forward to the most: Saturday morning...10am!!!! Gender determination hopefully if the booger cooperates!

13 weeks down..27 to go!! and the size of a gas cap!
13 weeks and 0 days today...hello second trimester!! (I think that starts about right now)
How's Baby J?:
well our little sea monkey is growing like a weed! I decided for humor I may mix up my size comparison charts, I found a great guide to for dad's to be..according to these guys our little guy/gal is the size of a gas cap on a car..hahaha. We had a check up this past Thursday 8/8/11 and go to hear our sweet heartbeat and fell in love all over again. Still a fast one with 160bpm. I wouldnt expect anything less from a James baby. If it's anything like it's dad it will do everything fast!!
Hows Mom? :
Hello world! I thought I wouldnt ever feel this good again! So I'm guessing the second trimester has brought me love!! Other than headaches and dealing with allergies (without my good steriod meds) I feel great!!! I knew my energy level was back when I can handle the first few weeks of school and not fall asleep in my cozy reading corner in my classroom during planning or right after school. I won't lie I'm still exhausted at the end of the day but what teacher isn't. Blood pressure has been perfect and no tummy issues really..yet!
Food Situations: If I see something or think of something that sounds good, I'd like to have it, but I wont go to the ends of the earth to get it..at least not yet. Still on the picky side a little. Not really raving about red meat, or grilled chicken still. Haven't really found my pregnancy food yet I guess. I do love some cereal though!
Things to buy: being the over pre-planner that I am, I want to buy it all. NOW! Man it's so hard to wait but for now I'll start stocking up on some winter maternity clothes, and guess what..more bras! (the girls are stupid big)
Belly Button: Still in! :) But stretching a little..
Weight Gain: Well I had gained 3lbs, but lost it all after the week school started back. With my appetite returning a little more, and the lack of geting on the scales the last two weeks, proved that I gained 3lbs back and 2 more and my Dr. visit. So officialy gained 5lbs. (yay) I didn't go over my goal!!!

Favorite Memory of the Week: Getting my first flutters these days and we we went to find the heartbeat, sure enough he found it right where I'm feeling my little flutters...I was wondering if it was just gas, but it's always in the same place and always the same feeling. So that def. confirmed for me it was my little Baby J!
What I'm looking forward to the most: Two weeks from today! We will hopefully know if we are team pink, or team blue!!! woot woot! don't forget to vote on our home page!!

Week 11.
Week 11
Yeah yeah! I know I'm like super late and skipped an entire week, but good news. Today I'm exactly 10 weeks 1 day which means I'm in my 11th week according to my WTE app.
How's Baby J?:
Well our little monkey in there according to my books is doing all kinds of crazy gymnast moves in there but I havent felt a thing, and probally wont for a few more weeks. This week the baby should be somewhere in between the size of a prune and a lime. I'm pushing more towards the size of a lime because my pants are getting pretty tight.
Hows Mom? :
Feels like I'm making somewhat of a comeback. The nausea has disipated a good bit, and I feel like I've even got some of my energy back! Amen! Well until I went back to a full day of work on Friday! I found the bed at 9:30pm last night..hahahah! Other than that, doing pretty good!!
Food Situations: Still having these silly things!! Red meat is still a no go pretty much. But I have found chicken with breading or BBQ tend to roll over pretty easy. But I've been able to stomach just about everything else. I love some pickles these days. :) Oh and a new icecream by Mars. It's chocholate with M&M's, fudge and sprinkles...AMAZING! But I've had to not eat too much..watching the weight! hehe!
Things to buy: I want to buy lots and lots of baby stuff, but restraining myself due to the fact that I'm sure we'll get more than enough at our showers, and we still don't know the gender. I'm sure once I find out if it's a boy or a girl I'll start buying more.
Belly Button: Still in! :)
Weight Gain: Still at 2.5lbs. Another 3 weeks left, hoping to stay under that first trimester 5lbs.
Weight Gain: Still at 2.5lbs. Another 3 weeks left, hoping to stay under that first trimester 5lbs.
Favorite Memory of the Week: Spreading the news to the entire world about this sweet baby J! At school, on Facebook, to EVERYONE! It's such a blessing!
What I'm looking forward to the most: The first day of school with my new first graders on Thursday. Sept 8th (check up) and Sept 24th gender reveal ultrasound :)
Opps!! I so just got behind! THE FIRST DR.VISIT!
Yeah yeah, I know I got behind. Due to Colt's race last weekend and moving schools/classrooms trying to get ready to kick off a new year I just lost track of it all. But anyways now hopefully I can try to keep up again, but with the school year just starting I'm not making any promises but I'll try :)
So anyhow
The Dr.Visit!!! *first one*
-Couldn't been more perfect with the exception of waiting for an hour before they really did anything (I'm guessing they were behind)
-Started the visit off with a good ole tinkle in a cup/weight check
-The doctor then just asked questions about how I was feeling, yada, yada, any concerns, yada, yada.
-Lucky me it was time for my pap smear so Colt got to sit in for that too! heheheh! It was okay though the ultrasound was vaginal anyways.
-So now to the GREAT part! I was so nervous about this ultrasound. I had prayed and prayed for days for there to be a sweet heartbeat. Within a matter of seconds when she started it seemed she found the baby and quickly whipped the screen around to me :) My heart swelled as I knew that had to been a good sign. Then she quickly pointed out the heartbeat. She then worked her magic on the machine and (thump, thump, thump, thump) we heard that sweet precious heartbeat; 182 bpm. Now I normally don't tear up a whole lot, but I did get a little teary eyed. I think we were both just amazed. She took a good look around for a while in there and said the baby looked great. We saw the little fingers and hands and feet and oh how so precious! I literally just wanted to try and hold our little monkeys hand thru the pictures.
So everything looks perfect and Colt and I couldn't be more thrilled. Now we go back in a few weeks Sept 8th for just a check up. I don't think we'll have an ultrasound but they will more than likely listen for the HB. I should be 12 weeks at the next appointment.

My First Scare..
Yes it's happened.
So today I had an almost 3 hour grade level meeting in a hot room, but thanks to my princpal for brining in this awesome fan it wasn't too too bad. But afterward I unloaded my car with some boxes into my new room. I made sure I only loaded the boxes in my car that were under my weight limit. But since my classroom is on the other end of the world from the entrance I carried them for a good distance a few trips. Needless to say when I was done I was hungry, thirsty, and just tired. I came home only to find a small little light brown spotting area...YIKES! So I took it easy and took a 2 hour nap. Woke up fixed dinner and havent removed myself from the couch since and currently blogging right now! :) No more spotting but I'm having so much lower back pain and I'm so crampy all over. A little worried I called my neighbor (labor and delivery specialist) she insured me it was more than likely okay but I just ...wait for it.....OVER DID IT! Wait did I really do that. I've been determined to not this slow me down but I guess my body is finally telling me SLOW THE HECK DOWN! Thank goodness our doctors appointment is tomorrow. Hopefully is all still well in there with Baby J! I'm just hoping everything is where it should be and we have a healthy heart beat!! So from now until tomorrows doctors appointments I'm following my two mothers orders and taking it easy and nothing do anything! I thought it was funny my mom instructed me not to get out of bed until time for my appointment in the morning! hahahah! She's so protective!

week 8
Wow what a week!! Currently right now I'm a little late on this past weeks' blog! Opps. I'm 8 weeks and 3 days today..I think! Tomorrow we get to confirm all this with an ultrasound..we hope..woowhoo!!
So anyways here's a check at whats going on. Colt and I just came back from Vacation at the beach. We celebrated our 5 year anniversary a weekend early because of his race at Gresham this weekend outside of Atlanta. We had a fantastic time, and to be honest the fun just kind of took my mind off my symptoms for the week..it was so relaxing at that. I really only felt bad at night and in the mornings of course. But the elevator really gave me a doozy for dizziness and the food aversions and light meal thing I have going on made eating out at night almost impossible. On with the stats for the week:
Hey Hey Baby J:
Okay since I'm updating you late this is really what was up with Baby J last week. Apparently our little raspberry this week has got little arms and legs and is sporadically moving around. I can't feel it yet. Not til around week 15-20 my online books say. He or she also developed some new organs like the liver and spleen..cool huh!
Symptoms:
The boobs are a huge pain this week...ouch!
Nausea was bad over the week due to the elevator at the beach..yuck!
Headaches...can get they get any worse. My new trick since I'm only allowed 2 Tylenol. A good does of caffeine in a coke :)
Dizzy spells happening so much more!
Hot flashes..wait I think it's just the heat..I wake up hot, everything is just HOT! Even Colt swears my skin is on fire hot.
Exhaustion level=extreme
I puked again this week...mac and cheese and some stop and go traffic on the way home from the beach did the trick....ugg!!
Things to buy: Still need that boppy pillow! Also I need to buy some things for school too this week. I have a major need for a teacher store run before Monday!
Belly Button: Still in! :)
Weight Gain: Gained another .5lbs. so puts my total weight gain at 2.5 lbs. Not too shabby I guess. Only a few more weeks in the first trimester! Hoping I can stay under that 5lbs goal!
Favorite Memory of the Week: Baby J's first beach vacation (in my tummy of course) Our extended weekend was so relaxing and nice to spend time together. Such a great mini-honeymoon. With being preggo we really didn't want to travel too far due to how I felt so a beach trip was the perfect getaway. I must say I was pampered the entire weekend and my sweet husband fixed breakfast for me every morning and waited on me hand and foot almost the entire trip. Very nice!! :) I know I'm blessed with an amazing hubby you can all be jealous now!! hahah!
What I'm looking forward to the most: TOMORROW!!!!! Our first doctors appointment and hopefully ultrasound.

Hows Mom? :I can't decide if I feel like I've ran a marathon all day, or hit the gym for 5 solid hours. I'm so tired and drag my feet everywhere. This is not the norm for me as I normally am known for my spunkiness and get up go energy. But lately I have trouble even pushing a grocery cart at walmart...I mean really! That second trimester better get here quick or my new first graders will run me over like mini steam rollers.
Symptoms:
Food Situations: Okay so the meat aversions still there, but some meats are coming back to me slowly. Sandwich meats are still good (heated of course), I had BBQ the other day..so good! Bacon..yeah I love some bacon!! Chicken that is breaded is good too!! But now I've hit that stage where I eat two bites, and I'm full. Colt is totally annoyed with this and said our entire beach trip with humor that I just shouldn't order and nibble off his plate. I change my mind about what I want while out to eat because I see other food go by, and it looks so much better. So I've went to ordering kids meals all the time. Even then it's a task to eat all that if I can. Dinner seems to be an impossible task because I never really know what I want, I may take a few bites and change my mind about what I really wanted and resort back to that great bowl of cereal that I love so much!! Which by the way the new Fruit loops with marshmallows is the sheezy-fo-hizzy!! So good! But I really do miss my love for food..I guess it's a good thing that I'm not scarffing in 500lbs of food right now, but glutney and I were such good friends. I miss him!
Belly Button: Still in! :)

Other News in the Hood: Cheryl flies in tomorrow night to spend a few extra days with us, and Colt is racing at Gresham this weekend in GA. So we will be heading down on Saturday. Also today was my first day at my new school for a summer grade level meeting. I got to meet all the new teachers..and check out my new classroom. I'm super excited as I have a door that goes outside, windows, and wallspace..yipppie!! I've graduated from a storage closet classroom! hahah!

The end of week 7!!
Finally week 8. Well yes I know I'm a little late! Today I'm 7 weeks and 2 days! Still antsy about that upcoming doctors appointment on August 10th. Seems like it will NEVER get here! The agony of not telling all our friends and family is painstaking!! Not only for us but both of our sets of parents. Good news lots of big upcoming dates to keep me busy so I'm not so focused on it! Leaving for the beach on Thursday, taking a super long weekend vacay, and my first summer grade level meeting at my new school on August 9th.
But anyways back to this past week:
Checking in on Baby J:
This past week our little sweetness was about the size of a blueberry!! He or she is growing right now since I'm already into week 8 it's looking more like a raspberry but I'll get into that at the end of the week. So hard to believe it came from a poppy seed to a blueberry in just a short amount of time! Over protective mom instincts kicked in this past week, as I wore a mask every time I cleaned with stuff because I didn't want to fry the brain cells as they were forming..hahahahahahah. Don't worry I've already took note of what cleaner is safe to use and what cleaner is not :)
Hows Mom? :
Wiped I tell ya!! The exhaustion level is more than I ever imagined. I read an article on "the bump" that said a woman laying down resting making a baby in her first trimester uses the same amount of energy as going to the gym all day! No wonder I feel like the walk from Colt's shop to inside is like climbing Mt.Everest and I can't seem to find the will power to do anything!!
Symptoms:
Food Situations: It's a whole new ballgame this week. Meat seems to be a small aversion, more so grilled chicken. I find myself fixing food to only eat a few bites and finding it disgusting. My newest crave...cereal! I spent 10 minutes in the cereal isle trying to narrow down the 5 boxes that I wanted...I think I honestly could eat it for every meal. Pizza was nasty last night, and chili's salsa tasted completely different. Bum :( Grocery shopping was quiet interesting too, nausea for the first half of the trip and hungry the second half. I even bought oranges. I never eat oranges. I've also found I can only eat about half the serving I used to eat of foods due to nausea kicking in...
Things to buy: Boppy Pillow for mom or a full body pillow. This sleeping on my side thing I'm supposed to get used to is harder than you think!
Belly Button: Still in! :)
Weight Gain: Still holding at 2lbs, over halfway thru my first trimester! I'm hoping 5lbs only for the first trimester.
Favorite Memory of the Week: Noticing my little bump. So small nobody else could see it unless I point it out. Just right at my pelvic bone is a little round circle raised up. Just enough to make some of my snugger pants a little uncozy around the pelvic area. Showed it to my mom and neighbor to confirm. Seems to be just my little uterus already poking out! But boy do I love it!! My new favorite thing to rub!!
What I'm looking forward to the most: Vacation with my sweet hubs to celebrate our 5 year anniversary early! We both can't wait to escape to the sand and sea for some relaxation time together....oh and did I mention August 10th.
But anyways back to this past week:

Symptoms:
- I've got used to the owwwiee boobies. Still sore, but not as painful
- Nausea, and hunger..its a battle! If I'm not hungry I'm nauseated. Vice versa.
- Headaches...and backaches..aches and aches..thank goodness I can take Tylenol.
- Dizzy spells..not too often.
- Hot flashes..my lord the hot flashes and this heat combo is awful!

Week 6
Well this is pretty funky. But technically they say I'm in my 6th week. Come Saturday I'll be in my 7th week. But the babies age is only 5 weeks and 5 days old today. Complicated I think..but whatever!
Anyways this week was a pretty good! Just getting restless and excited about that first doctors appointment on August 10th!
Here's the rundown for Week 6, I tried to give you a nice outline instead of narritve so your not so bored with reading :)
What's up with Baby J:
Well this week our little nugget was about the size of a sweet pea and soon to be turning into the size of a blueberry! It's amazing how fast lil Baby J is growing!

Hows Mom? :
Well to be honest, I'm not sure! Some days I think I'm crazy, mean, or just plain ole funky! These hormones have really got the best of me! Colt can vouch for that. Seems like I can cry or get frustrated at the drop of a hat. My gosh I'm wiped with exhaustion!
Symptoms: -Super nauseated...all day! But I'm still eating..no yacking..yet! Yay!
-The boob pain has let up a little..thank god!
-No round ligament pain really this week. I guess I'm taking a break! wooowhoo!
-Oh the headaches!! They are killing me smalls!
-Back pain is finally dwindling down a bit!
Food Situations: So I'm guessing I'm going through the whole food craving thing. I'm not really craving one thing in particular, but the last couple days I have to "try" foods before I finally find the snack I want..LOL! Sometimes thinking of food can make me nasueaued though..eww! Eggs are on the hot list. Poor Colt, it may be a while before I make him eggs!
Things to buy: BIGGER BRAS!..yes already! I'm double bumpin already.
Complaints I'm happy to make: I really didn't want let this pregnancy slow me down, but boy has it! The exhaustion level is awful!
Belly Button: Still in! :)
Weight Gain: 2 lbs..eeek! I do not like this at all! It's a little to early. Praying its all water weight and the boobs!
Favorite Memory of the Week: My sweet husband talking to my belly telling Baby J to stop making mommy sick. I love the sound of "mommy".
What I'm looking forward to the most: Well August 10th..duhhh. First doctors appointment. But I'm really looking foward to our beach trip in two weeks!!! And Colts suprise braves game I'm taking him to on the 29th!
Other things about life: too much to write! But all is going well around the homefront! Oh I'm super stoked that my parents are giving me a treadmill and cycle from their gym! Hello winter time cardio!!
Anyways this week was a pretty good! Just getting restless and excited about that first doctors appointment on August 10th!

Hello winter time cardio!!
awww...WHAT!!!
Is the response we got from Cheryl when we told her the news. Of course Terry did a great job at carrying the secret all week but he was busting at the seems and so was Colt the moment they stepped foot in the house. So of course I had the room all decorated with a banner and baby balloons! We recently did lots of decorating with Colt's grandmother in town a few weeks prior and he took the time to show her all the new things in the house while I snuck off to turn on the video camera. Terry also popped his head in the room to see what was in store as youll see in the video. After I quickly returned Colt informed her that I had painted the second guest bedroom a little darker color just to see what it would be like (he lied). So off she goes to look while we stayed in the living room. It took her a minute or two to really catch on. But once she did we were all so happy!!! :) Such a great day around the James house! Check out the video, sorry we accidentally chopped her head off. I was in a hurry when setting up! (Also note, that I choppped parts of the video out so you didn't have to wait forever for her to come in and come back) I gave you the shortened version in about a minute!)
So we had a fanstastic relaxing weekend around the house celebrating, we even bought our first piece of baby clothing . A sweet little gray jacket/hoodie that says "Always 1st" with a little checkered flag! Baby J says "Thanks Grandma Honey" :)

Week 5
Wowie has it been a cool week! Saturday 7/9 marked the start of 5 weeks.
Baby J:
Well right now our little Baby James looks somewhat like a tadpole and is the size of an apple or orange seed....really it's so tiny??? This week the baby is developing it's heart (while it steals mine) and it's brain and spinal cord. Grow Baby J grow!!

Family News: So for the weekend we took off to South Alabama Speedway for Colt's race. Man oh man, was it HOT!! But Colt was such a good husband he tried to make sure I stayed cool as much as possible, as I had heard it was dangerous to get my body over heated. So for the first weekend ever I just sat around in the hauler with fans and lots of bottled water and didn't really get up for my chair. I can only imagine what Wes and Big J were thinking. "Man she's lazy this weekend". I'm pretty sure Terry (Colt's Dad) was taking good note as to the difference. A couple hours into our day at the track, Colt finally came and told me that he just had to spill the beans to his Dad. He just wanted his Dad to know what was going on, and I guess another person to make sure another person knew to take extra special care of me. (Insert true princess feeling here..haha) Colt wasn't quiet sure before he told his Dad how he would take it. But was excited to find out. We were both thrilled so that his Dad was beyond excited. Not that he wouldn't have been, but it somehow took us by surprise his amount of excitement. Now the hard part. He has to hold it for a week until Cheryl flies in next Friday.
As for my parents: My mom had good speculation. She and I are so close. But she was beyond herself when I told her the good news. My Dad, I think he's still in shock, but I think once we get further in he'll be more excited. He's begged for grandkids and talked about having them for years..the day finally came and I kind of expected cartwheels. Like I said, I think it's just shell shock. He was just bummed he couldn't tell anybody yet. But understood how important it was to see that lil heartbeat first.
What's up with me:
Saturday my Aunt Flow never showed and still hasn't. So I guess that was really mental confirmation for me that yes, I really am prego! Of course I went and bought more pregnancy test and took another 2 test on Sunday just to confirm I was still pregnant. This time I had Colt do the reading just because I was so scared my body might have changed it's mind. This week I made my first trip to the OB/GYN not for the pregnancy part, but because I thought maybe my bladder infection came back and I called them and they told me to just come in rather than going to my family doctor. I had such a crazy amount of back pain (not intense..but like a period back pain) that I was worried maybe my kidneys were bothering me. So I went go all that taken care of. Nothing major. I was kindly hoping they would have did something with the pregnancy to give me confirmation. But nope. LOL! Oh well! So anyways turns out the back pain is really just an early pregnancy thing. This week has been filled by sooooo much bloating. I've noted my weight every morning and by the afternoon I've gained almost 3 to 4 lbs from bloating and water weight. So uncozy. I've been kicking the exercise routine. Finally got back up to walking 2 miles with the exhaustion level finally kicking in. I even started going for swims at my parents since it's a good exercise. No morning sickness...well yet. Every morning I've woke up and felt a small level of nausea, and it's been building stronger and stronger each day. Today I finally felt like I could toss my cookies but didn't. Wheeeww, that was close. I wonder how much longer before I actually do? Another thing as I'm wrapping up week 5, round ligament pain. Owie! Not too painful but not exactly fun. That sharp second of pain below my belly button in intervals is not exactly what I expected. By my neighbor said its perfectly normally, and I'll go through spurts of growing and stretching in there. Colt said if I'm already complaining I might not make it the 9 months. LOL! Then I had to explain that I'm stretching internally and how it all works then he understood. I did take my first pic this week. It will be a while before I start to show, but I have noticed I have a small raised area enough to feel right at my pelvic bone. You can't see it really, but defiantly feel it. It's my favorite thing! No food cravings yet, just trying to make myself eat super healthy with lots of veggies and fruit.
Oh tonight we're telling Cheryl!! We've decorated the future baby room with balloons and a banner and asking her to go get something out of it. Colt and I are going to try and secret code word it so that I can set up the flip camera in the room to record her reaction! I'll post pictures and video if we get it soon!!

The end of week four..
So week four was the week we found out....Not a whole lot changed from my last post. Symptoms kind of took a backseat. The heartburn died down, but hot flashes took over. The week gave us a little more time for it to all set in. Still crazy to think about! It all just happened so fast! Saturday 7/6, is the day I should miss my period. So keep your fingers crossed. I guess right now were both excited but not trying to get our hopes up too high.....I think week 5 it will all set in!
Our little Baby J this week is so tiny! He's only the size of a single poppy seed.

More pink lines and changes...
Okay so I didn't sleep a wink on Tuesday night..I tried to hold my tinkle time as long as I could so when 5am rolled around I felt like my eyeballs were floating. I ran to the bathroom and took test #2. Sure enough 2 pink lines. Finally relaxed, I cooked Colt some breakfast tacos and went back to bed til about 10am. Then I was so excited when I woke up I took another test...2 pink lines again. Wowie! At this point reality has finally set in! WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!! Wait, really?? Sometimes it's still hard to believe but I think our first doctors visit will really help it all set in.
Speaking of doctors appointments. From my previous post my yearly pap smear check up with my OB/GYN is Monday. Of course I called the doctor on Wednesday to tell them my good news, and the lady informed me it would be pointless for me to come in Monday that they would do nothing as far as pregnancy goes and I'll need to wait until I'm at least 8-10 weeks for my first info session and hopefully ultrasound and look for the heartbeat!! So I went ahead and rescheduled our appointment were set to go in on August 10th Wed at 11:45. Colt will be taking off work to come with me :) Boy he has no idea what he's about to see. LOL! But I guess he'll need to get used to it. But were both getting more and more excited as the days pass by!
As far as changes go; my appetite has disappeared...odd!! I thought for sure it would start to pick up soon. But I'm still kindly nauseated from time to time, but not enough not to eat. The heat right now normally does the trick on kicking off the nausea. Were about to head to South Alabama Speedway for the weekend, I just pray with bringing the biggest fans out there and lots of water I can keep from tossing my cookies at the track .LOL!

Over Achiever
For the last year or so I've been tormented by all my friends, coworkers who have babies. They've given me baby fever! Even our neighbors kids have did their number on Colt. So following the announcement of my new teaching position, we decided why not jump in the boat too! So last month was our first month trying. Well if any of you know anything about Colt. You know that he is naturally good at everything he does the first time. Everything I try to beat him in, he naturally always wins. Well there was no difference in this task either :) We were not really expecting it to happen so soon, but were both very excited!! I feel so lucky and blessed beyond belief! This past week I've been nauseous on and off, bad headaches, sore ta ta's, just things about my body that were just odd, but thought maybe it was just Aunt Flo trying to make an appearance. So today just for giggles I purchased some home pregnancy tests, and what do you know, test number one was two pink lines. I plan to take more in the morning to just double check. (Still in shock)
So of course you know I was ecstatic to tell Colt. So I wrote on a note "Mom thinks she has a baby in her belly because she told me she saw two pink lines" and placed it in the shop cats food bowl to where he wouldn't miss it. He read the note and was so excited.
So here we are, I'm guessing 4 weeks along. Lucky for me I have a doctors appointment for my yearly pap smear on Monday. So maybe I'll have more juicy details then. Were deciding to keep it a secret for a while from the world just because it is so early, but plan to tell our parents next weekend if all goes well with the doctors appointment on Monday.
